What is it that you especially like about LEO and why did you decide to join?
Well, having previously worked in teaching, I was especially impressed by LEO’s core entrepreneurship training products. It is important to really believe in your business venture and this ticked all the boxes for me, and it is a decision which has proved to be sound.
I also recognised the potential the organisation offered to help me develop professionally and build a strong business, aided by a very practical and reasonable compensation plan. The fact that LEO is a member of the UK Direct Selling Association (DSA) was also important, as this provided the reassurance that it is a genuine and legitimate organisation.
Why do you think you have been so successful with your LEO business?
It really does all come down to hard work and perseverance – there are just no shortcuts or substitutes for putting in the effort, I’m afraid. Of course, I am also very fortunate to have an incredibly hard working and motivated team around me as well. We all pull together and support each other to make a success of the business, or it wouldn’t have got this far.
I also do my best to help motivate the team and think it is vital to stay positive and pass on that positivity to those around you. I think it is important to learn coaching skills from successful leaders in the company, which I am always keen to do and use these to help my team members. The bottom line is that if you work hard and never give up, you will get there in the end.
How well does your work fit in with your family life?
Although I work full time, I still manage to achieve a good work–life balance. Because of the amount of work needed to make a success of the business, it can sometimes be a bumpy ride to fit in family commitments and juggle this with the workload.
However, because of the flexible nature of the work, it is possible to fit everything in and it all works out in the end. It does require a great deal of commitment to build a successful business, if you are serious about achieving your goals and creating a better future, but the flexible and sustainable business model that LEO offers makes it possible to have a good quality of life and balance work with other important responsibilities.
What motivates you to persevere in your LEO business and what ambitions do you have for the future?
I have great trust in LEO, its business model and the transparent way in which the organisaton is run. LEO has assisted me in my professional development, and all hard work is rewarded and recognised by awards and promotions, such as the Director rank I have now reached, which I am delighted to have achieved.
As a global organisation which has members in more than 140 countries, LEO also gives me the opportunity to dream big, and it is my ambition to expand my business to have team members in at least 50 countries. I would also like to be able to arrange regular weekly training events to help my team and look forward to a day when I have a team of 100,000 members.
Do you have any tips for others on how to make a success of their direct selling businesses?
You should always be positive, coachable and presentable. It is also important to stay motivated and motivate your team, and it can help to find yourself a practical office space to run your business from. I particularly like the quote: ‘Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people’ [attributed to Eleanor Roosevelt], which reminds you not to be negative, but to keep your mind focused on what is important, seek out those with knowledge and always be willing to keep learning.

Agripina feels no shame of saying she went through a serious overweight problem. “At some point, I stayed seated almost the whole day, even when my daughter told me to stand up and walk, I couldn’t move,” she recounts. Almost accidentally, she found the Vida Divina products for weight control, and started to try them. All of a sudden, she started to lose weight and feel better.
“I lost 30 pounds and began to feel healthier. My self-esteem improved a lot and, most of all, I discovered the networking business.”
Agripina Santos collected all the information available about this industry, and decided to give it a try. She started with a little investment, but couldn’t find people interested in Oregon, where she was living then. But that didn’t stop her. Somebody told her she could find better results in California—and that’s where she went. “I focused on earning more money every day, and it actually happened! I’d say to myself, ‘I have to make $2,000 this month, and I did it; then I’d say, ‘Now I’ve got to earn 4,000 and I did, too.”
Agripina decided to head back to Oregon City and, with much more experience, she found the people she couldn’t find before to start her own network. “I don’t have a great education,” she says. “I know I don’t speak English so well, and there’s always people who try to look down on you. But I didn’t care.” Her will proved to be made of steel.
“Nothing was going to take my dreams away from me,”
she says.
Agripina Santos says the key to her success is simple: hard work. “If I had to sleep less, I did it”, she says. But there’s something else: caring about people, talking to them to understand their own concerns and motivations, being transparent about the business opportunity. “I think I don’t try to convince people. What I do is just communicate a message,” she says. In that sense, she thinks that the message she has to offer with Vida Divina speaks for itself—high-quality products and real financial benefits.
A 47-year-old mother, with five children and seven grandchildren, Agripina Santos raised her kids as a single mother, so she has a special empathy for young women who might be in that situation, too. “I kind of see myself in them, and I know Vida Divina might be the opportunity they are looking for to make their dreams come true”, she says. La journée a été remplie d’ateliers, de formations et de présentations de produits par les responsables au nouveau mondial et formateurs internationaux de l’AIM tel que, M. Miko Imson.

Arnel Limpin, vice-président de la formation et du développement des réseaux, et discuté des “Comment devenir un leader efficace.” Le vice-président du développement des affaires, M. Let me share a story with you about a FRUSTRATED business owner that didn’t know he was being RECRUITED.
It was 1987 and a good friend asked me to join him for dinner but before dinner we were going to stop at a cocktail party. Little did I know he was taking me into a party with the TOP 10% of the income earners with NSA. He made a comment to me about “feel free to mingle – these people all make LOTS OF MONEY and you’ll meet some interesting people”.
Being a people person I started to mingle – I met this one old boy and I mentioned to him what my buddy said about the people making lots of money. He wasn’t shy at all when he said “yes, yes they do – I make about $70,000” – I laughed and said I make a lot more than that and was about to walk away – when he said “YOU MAKE MORE THAN $70,000 A MONTH?” I spun around and said – excuse me – what did you just say? He said “I make $70,000 a MONTH but there are lots of people that make way more than I do”. Well, they had me at hello – the rest of the night was electric. Needless to say, I was in hook line and sinker to the tune of $35,000.
Early that next morning I got home and my wife met me at the door. I told her all about the meeting, the people, the money and then some more about the money. I explained that I was going to sell our 16-year-old advertising agency and dive head first into NETWORK MARKETING.
She was totally supportive – “OVER MY DEAD BODY”!! Well I had my work cut out but I was determined – you see they had my check for $35K. After a few hours she gave in under THREE CONDITIONS.
I said – YES DEAR what are they? 1) You can’t talk to any of our friends. 2) You can’t spend any money doing this stupid thing. 3) You can’t talk to anyone that ever might be our friend. Of course, I AGREED and went to bed with dreams of all the money I was going to make.
FAST FORWARD 90 DAYS.
I had flown and driven all over the US going to trainings as I was trying to SELL WATER FILTERS. I sucked at selling water filters. My first check came – yes a check in the US MAIL – it was like $40 – my wife opened the envelope and then handed me the check. I knew where this conversation was going. I begged for more time – just give me another 90 days.
\Then I met JEFF R – although he was much younger he took me under his wing, guess he felt my pain. He asked me to explain what I did on a daily basis. I told him in great detail about SELLING WATER FILTERS – he looked, smiled and said STOP ALL OF THAT NONSENSE NOW and don’t you ever try to sell another water filter. Now I was really confused.
He trained me HOW TO RECRUIT & BUILD A TEAM. I went on to make millions with that company. I’ll never forget my wife saying when she opened an envelope with a 5 figure check – I’m so glad I talked you into Network Marketing. I just smiled and said – me too.
The past 31 years have been good times, great times and sad times. The good times were when we were making a quarter of a million a month living a rock star lifestyle with nothing to worry about except what were we going to do with all this money. My wife loved the lifestyle and well so did I and the 4 children we were raising and taking on vacation all over the world as I did events.
My organization was doing tens of millions in monthly sales and I had topped 400,000 people. We were ROCKIN. We had homes on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, a huge home in Austin, Texas on Lake Travis and I was building a home in Evergreen, CO. Life could not have been better. Then in a moment everything changed – the company we were with had filed for bankruptcy protection and informed all us that there would be NO MORE CHECKS. That was it – GONE – 400,000 people, huge checks all vanished.
FAST FORWARD
After recovering from the shock two years later I was determined to do it again. It was time to go back to work – my wife was getting sick of me hanging around the house 24/7. We had sold the Texas house and the Penthouse in Grand Cayman and were living in Colorado.
During my search for a company I seemed to always be attracted to STARTUP companies. I fell into the START UP trap over and over again. I heard someone explain the definition of INSANITY – which was to do the same things over and over while expecting different results and I said you know what – THAT’S ME!!
The last 3 decades have been one amazing story after the next – whether it was being part of the team and running at the Indianapolis 500 or offshore unlimited hydroplane boat races there was always something going on.
Then on May 20th, 2018 my life changed. I was invited to listen to a call that DAVE JORDAN, who is the CEO of VALENTUS was doing about a new WEIGHT LOSS COFFEE he was introducing.
